A country and city in one. We were excited about the modern factor of Singapore...

Day One:

We only get one day in Vietnam. A "layover" that lasts 22 hours, we are determined to make the most of it! Cashing in Steve's Father's Day's gift, we have selected and saved for an over-the-top hotel stay at the Marina Bay Sands...yes, yes for that amazing infinity pool on the 57th floor. What's been really fun about finding, selecting and then staying at this hotel is really making it a reality. We saw pictures of this hotel and the amazing pool on Pinterest and then shared it with the kids and friends, got over the sticker shot...decided we wanted an over the top experience and selected the Marina Bay Sands for it!

Decided to take the train to our hotel...the Singapore transit system is kinda fabulous. The entire station is airconditioned (or should I say AirConned). Fast, efficient, clean, everything we read has been validated.

Aiden and Steve went RIGHT to the pool. We checked in late and only had about 30 minutes to enjoy in the pool. Time was not wasted on them.

Our hotel view. Yup, yup, we splurged. We saved a bit of $$$ by buying a bottle of wine in Vietnam and bringing it with us. Singapore has a very high alcohol tax, very. Especially after enjoing $1 beers everywhere else in Asia.

Day Two:

We already fly out today...packing in the fun!

Taking the ningas to the pool. Taking advantage of the inroom robes and slippers. So comfy!

Of course, it comes at no surprise, that the boys have no fear. Don't worry people, there's many layers of protection at this pool, including a plethora of life guards and security. Even with my fear of heights, I felt very comfortable.

I loved my time with the boys in this amazing pool. Steve described this pool as the selfie pool and it certainly is. So many selfie takers.

The Gardens by the Bay view, we'll be there this afternoon....

We all find this signage funny after our "Durian" experience in Vietnam. It's a stinky fruit, we can completely understand why it's banned from the transit system. We found this on the train.

Chinatown in Singapore. A completely different experience! The Chinatown in Bangkok was a completely different experience. The Chinatown here is tidy and less congested and organized and orderly and clean and very different! The deals to be found are consistent though. We find a couple of fun Singapore t-shirts for the boys.

Another funny sign. Makes you wonder, huh? This sign was the bathroom at the transit station. Hmmm.

The views at Merlion Park are so nice. It's right on the bay with the Marina Bay Sands and Art Museum in the background. We were able to capture a nice family photo.

Gardens by the Bay, it's definitely HUGE. I hadn't expected it to be so large. We walked nearly 30,000 steps today...kinda beat!

The boys did better with the heights.... It is pretty cool.

Conner kept me company...and well so did Aiden, I moved pretty slowly along the walkways. The employees told me that they have had to wheelchair a few people out that freeze when looking down. Yikes!
